Pray for Kenya Elections
I am writing with a request for people to pray for the nation of Kenya. Elections took place December 27th and it seems that there is a lot of tension as they wait for the results to come in from around the country. This morning I heard that soome of the young men, in support of the opposition party, were running through Kibera lighting matches and causing chaos. There are also outbreaks where people are stoning cars and causing riots. Please pray that Kenya would be a peaceful nation during this time of transition. Early indication shows that the opposition party will most likely win, which leads to transfer in leadership. Lets pray for a smooth transition and that the country would respond in a positive way. Even the winning parties respond with violence sometimes. Please agree with me for the protection of the people of Kenya as the country walks through this season.

Hiding
So, I am back in PA and I said I would be writing, but this is the first time I am posting in ten days. I arrived home, after several random searches in airports in Nairobi and London. I was welcomed home with a battle with the flu and cold cold cold weather. I decided after a week at home that it was time to get out of bed and leave my parents home to begin "living life" again.
I am a bit sad and missing Kenya and the lovely people there, but I am happy to be home too. I will post more too and I promise to come out of hiding soon.

HOME AGAIN, HOME AGAIN.......

Hello All!
Well, the time has come for me to bid Kenya farewell. The holiday season is near and it is time to celebrate with family and friends at home. It is hot and sunny here in Kenya, but the Pointsetta tree is blooming so the holiday must be the way.
I will be travelling home late tonight and arriving back in PA tomorrow night. I know I said I would be posting stories and updates today, but unfortunately, I had internet issues and was busying packing and saying goodbye to people. When I arrive home, I will contoinue to update. I have many stories waiting to be told and photos to share. I think you will enjoy the stories yet to come......
Thanks to all who have been reading. I will keep writing with more news. I have a lot going on starting in the New Year and will update on the blog. These months in Kenya have been life changing. What a joy!!!!!
Well, I gotta go finish packing.
Feel free to call or email when I get home. I would love to get together and share more of the experiences in person.
So long for now..............

A Season Has Ended!!!!
So, I am keeping my fingers crossed that I am a college graduate once again, with a Master's Degree in International Development. It has been a challenging year filled with wonderful experiences. I started the program in January and had no idea if I was up for the challenge of accomplishing my degree. My first weekend, I spent 28 hours reading one book, "The Road to Hell", and was brought to tears the following week discussing my fear of failure with Dr. Bronkema, the director.
Well, it is over! I will be posting an Africa Fund update and more photos later today or tomorrow.

M.I.A.
Sorry I have been missing from the blogosphere for a few days. Give me a few more and I will be back with stories, photos and updates. Unfortunately, or fortunately, it is CRUNCH TIME with my graduate school work. I am finishing up to 20 page papers for my Cross Cultural Communications and Community Development courses. So, I am stuck behind locked doors writing, writing, and then writing some more. December 3rd is the date our final projects our due and then I will be an official college graduate with a Mater's Degree in International Development.
I promise I will be back with more for you to see and read! Thanks for being patient with me!
