Final Day with the Shimo Girls.....and their kiddos

Today was the last day that Stephanie and I had with the Shimo Girls. We decided to skip working today and instead prepare lunch for them and invite them to bring their kids for the afternoon. We also decided to present them with their new sewing machines and supplies for their sewing classes that are starting next week.
The girls have the most beautiful children. A few of them were shy and afraid of us, perhaps because we were strangers, but most likely because we were white. We ate lunch, played some games (balloons and nerf darts), presented them with their new sewing machines, and then enjoyed the beautiful day outside.

Please pray for each of these girls, and their children, as they take on learning a new skill next week. Pray that they would work hard and pick up the skill quickly. Pray that they would love God and have hearts filled with hope.

It has been a joy to serve Caroline M, Caroline S, Eunice, Moureen, and Marysella! I can't wait to see where life leads them. They have been a delight to work with.

Enjoy some photos from our day:
